Rocky and his team of experts & volunteers help an animal shelter committed to helping with Miami’s chronic homeless pet population. As work begins to turn underused storage rooms into useful spaces, Rocky helps to find a large and loveable American Bull Dog named Marshmallow, a forever home! To help save another pet’s life, a friend of the shelter with a passion for American bulldogs becomes interested in adopting.
Paws4You shelter in Miami is a foot soldier in the fight to control the pet population. They take in pets left abandoned and that are on track to be euthanized. The Miami-Dade Animal Control is a high kill operation and Paws4You aggressively saves dogs from there. They also provide spaying and neutering services at low cost, vaccinations, and educational outreach to teach community groups about pets and pet population. They bring in youth groups, provide free behavior training to the community, and match seniors with senior dogs. The focus is to staunch the high rate of pet abandonment and euthanasia, and to rethink the way to be with pets. But very often they fight an uphill battle.
