A timid Labrador Mix needs a loving family.
Rocky and the team help an animal shelter that believes in making their animals’ temporary stay as comfortable and low stress as they can. As the design team starts to restructure a used kennel area into a cat themed meet and greet space, Rocky calls in a Social Media Influencer to help spread awareness about this remotely located shelter and commits to finding a timid yet sweet Labrador mix named Cinnamon a forever home. To help save another pet’s life, a young family becomes interested in adopting.
UCHS started out in this small town’s (Erin, Ontario) Church basement back in 1991 after local citizens realized there was a growing concern over animal welfare. Pet neglect and cruelty is still prevalent in the community so UCHS wants to increase awareness and education around this issue. UCHS’s mission is to care, protect, educate and serve so they can provide humane care of animals and encourage responsible pet ownership. From dogs, cats to rabbits and guinea pigs – they take in a variety of small to large animals. UCHS wants to expose their shelter pets to as wide an audience as possible to increase adoption rates and donations. With no funding from the government and relying only on the support of donors and volunteers to maintain the operation, UCHS has still been able to find forever homes for over 5,000 pets since 2003 and has successfully adopted almost 300 pets this year alone.
